Sauce Katsudon Recipe (Deep-Fried Breaded Pork Bowl with Worcestershire-Based Sauce) | Cooking with Dog

We are making Sauce Katsudon. Coat the fresh deep-fried pork with lots of sauce and enjoy it as a rice bowl dish. The spicy and slightly sweet sauce goes great with both tonkatsu and steamed rice. This dish also allows you to enjoy lots of fresh vegetables.

(1 person) Cook Time: 15 minutes

150g Pork Tenderloin or Pork Loin (5.3 oz)
Salt
Pepper
All Purpose Flour
1/2 Beaten Egg
4~5 tbsp Fine Panko, Japanese bread crumbs

- Sauce -
1 tbsp Japanese Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tbsp Tonkatsu Sauce
1/2 tbsp Mirin
1/4 tsp Sugar
Water (Approx. ½ tbsp)

40g Cabbage Leaves, shredded (1.4 oz)
12g Baby Salad Greens (0.4 oz)
Karashi Hot Mustard
Steamed Rice

* 1 tablespoon (tbsp) = 15 ml, 1 teaspoon (tsp) = 5 ml
