Cooking meals when you have diabetes can be challenging, but its not impossible! Cooking and eating balanced meals is highly recommended to manage your blood sugar. Nutritionist Jo Sebastian give us a rundown of the types of diabetes, what you can be doing differently once youre diagnosed, and shares two simple recipes for your next meal prep session at home.MunggoIngredients3 tbsp oil2 pc tilapia3 cloves garlic, minced1 pc red onions, sliced2 pc tomatoes, sliced1 cup munggo beans1 cup malunggay leavesProcedure:In a pan with hot oil, cook the fish for 2-3 minutes on each side. Set aside and shred.Using the same pan, saute garlic and onions followed by the tomatoes.Add your munggo beans and fill with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 40 minutes or until the beans are mashable. Add your malunggay and cook for an additional 2 minutes.Makes 6 servingsEgg WrapIngredients:3 pc eggs1 pc cucumbers, cut in half and sliced3 pcs tomatoes, slicedkesong putiGreek-style yogurtProcedure:Beat all eggs in a bowl. On a non-stick skillet, add oil and eggs.Once the egg is set, loosen the sides and flip. Cook for an additional 30 seconds and set aside.Assemble by placing the veggies and cheese at the bottom of the egg.
