How to Chiffonade Basil/ by a Kid

"Chiffonade" means little ribbons in French. Stack up several layers of basil leaves, roll it up, then cut. Sprinkle in soups or over pastas.

In this video, my daughter Kyler, who was then 4, shows us how she cuts basil, or demonstrates the method of "chiffonade".

Because of our cooking show, "Cooking with Kyler", Kyler has been exposed and actively involved with trying new foods and she has her hand in on preparing each recipe. Nothing is a mystery and therefore she tries everything.
