Tomato dal recipe | Gayathiri's Cookbook

This is a very simple and delicious dal recipe.It is made with moongdal, green chillies and tomatoes and goes very well with rice or roti.

Ingredients:
Moongdal- 1 cup
Tomatoes-3
Green chillies- 3
Salt- As needed
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Hing- A pinch
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Oil- 1 tsp
Lemon juice- As needed

Directions:
1.Take moongdal, turmeric powder, salt, hing, green chillies and tomatoes in a vessel.
2. Pressure cook this for upto 4 whistles.
3.Het 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds starts to crackle, switch off the heat and add the seasoning to the cooked dal. Garnish with coriander leaves. add lemon juice.before serving.

Dal is ready!!
