This Korean Slum in Busan Turned into a Tourist Hotspot Gamcheon Culture Village

Today we explore Gamcheon Culture Village ( ) in Busan. What was once was a religious community turned into a place of refuge for civilians during the Korean War. Over the course of five decades, the village became a slum until recently. Rather than demolishing the structures and starting from scratch, Gamcheon Village was painted in diverse colors. With the increased pedestrian traffic, crimes rates dropped and became a tourist hotspot. The narrow alleys and stairs make for a photographic stroll with friends, family and even as a lone traveler! Watch the travel vlog to see the action unfold :)
