Tamilnadu style parotta

Parotta is a layered South Indian flatbread made out of refined flour. This kind of Parotta requires more oil. Be liberal with oil. Try it on your cheat day.

Parotta will get its flaky structure only through the use of oil and butter.
This can be served with any kind of kurma .

Ingredients:

All purpose flour- 1.5 cup
Salt-1 teaspoon
Sugar- 1 teaspoon
Butter- 1 tablespoon
Oil- As needed
Milk- 1/4 cup

Directions:
1. Take all purpose flour, salt, sugar and butter in a bowl. Mix it all together.
2. Add 1/4 cup milk and water little at a time to prepare a smooth and soft dough.
3. Add little oil and knead it again. Keep it aside for 2 hours, preferably covered.
4. Divide the dough into equal balls. Drizzle some oil on top and set aside for 30 minutes.
5. Roll into a thin circle. Make small pleats and then roll it into a pinwheel from one end.
