Quick Gobi Masala | Gayathiri's Cookbook

Cauliflower fried and sautéed in spicy masala gravy. You can keep the cauliflower more crisp or let it cook more in the masala gravy depending on your preference..Its a very popular and delicious dish which goes very well with any kind of variety rice or roti.

Ingredients:
Cauliflower florets- 2 cups
Onion-2
Tomato puree- 1.5 cup
Coriander leaves- for garnishing
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt- As needed
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Oil- 2 tsp

Directions:
1.Cut cauliflower into small florets and keep it in hot water with turmeric powder and salt for 30 minutes.Drain the water after 30 minutes.
2.Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add jeera. When the jeera starts to crackle, add onion and ginger garlic paste. Saute until onion is translucent.
3. Then add tomato puree and cook until soft.
4. When the tomatoes are cooked, add turmeric powder, salt, jeera powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and red chilli powder.
5. Mix everything together and cook until the raw smell of the masala goes away.
6.When the masalas are cooked, add the cauliflower florets.Close the lid and cook until the florets are tender.
7.If you want a thick consistency, add corn flour paste, then switch off the heat.

Gobi masala is ready!!
