Pan-Fried Pork Buns (Sheng Jian Bao) 生煎包 | The Chinese Cuisine

These pan-fried pork buns have a deliciously crunchy, golden bottom layer and a chewy bun.

INGREDIENTS:
- dough
- filling
- water
- olive oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. wrap and fold your pork buns as shown
2. add olive oil to a heated nonstick pan
3. arrange pork buns, making sure that the bottom is coated evenly in oil
4. add enough hot water to submerge the buns halfway, and cover with lid
5. wait for the water to boil
6. once the water begins to boil, reduce heat to simmer
7. cover until all water has evaporated and bottom has turned golden
8. serve and enjoy!!
