Many of the antenna shops are located in the Ginza area of Tokyo. next we started making dashi two ways, first with some packets and then from scratch. We also talked about how you can use the used dashi ingredients for other things like tsukudani and furikake, both are tasty ways to season your rice. mmmmm

Then we took a vote to decide which dish to make - kabocha nimono (Simmered japanese pumpkin in dashi and soy sauce) or spinach ohitashi (soaked spinachin dashi and soy sauce). Guess which one won?

And last - we finished up with the little bit of shiojake - salted salmon broiled in the oven to make the meal complete! If you wanna check out the replay and see what else we covered itll be available for a limited time in the daidokoro facebook group
