A gastronomic adventure to Russia! Dumplings.RU

Owned by a Russian couple, Mr Vadim Zoubovski who was born in Ukraine, and his wife Alena Zubovska, Dumpling.RU offers authentic hometown Russian cuisine in a cosy place at Maxwell Chambers. Classics like Borscht soup and dumplings are served. Cooked with pork, vegetables, tomatoes and beetroot, and having simmered for hours, the soup is savoury and rich in flavour. A touch of sour cream adds further to the flavour of the soup.

Dumplings are wrapped in different-coloured doughs made using natural ingredients. Yellow is for chicken, black for beef, green for ram. What's more unique is their salmon dumpling dressed in a pinkish skin that's not only tasty but also attractive to the eye. Get a combo platter, and you'll get a taste of all the flavours.

Shuba, a herring salad topped with beetroot, is another specialty. According to Mr Vadim, the dish is also offered at special occasions in his hometown. But over here, patrons get to enjoy it all year round.

Chebureki is a deep-fried large dumpling, crispy as vodka is added to the dough. It comes with cheese or meat filling. One would be amazed by it's sheer size - its bigger than your palm.

There are so many other cuisines waiting for you to explore here. Do drop by the main outlet at Maxwell Chambers (#01-05), take-away outlet at City Gate (#B1-02) or the latest upcoming new venue at Lau Pa Sat.
