This capsicum dry curry is a South Indian style masala curry which is usually served with rice or roti. It is prepared with green bell pepper along with coconut and some spices. I like to add Paruppu podi to this curry as it gives good aroma.Ingredients:Capsicum- 3Oil- 2 tspMustard seeds- 1/2 tspUraddal- 1.5 tspChannadal-1.5 tspRed chillies- 1Curry leaves-For seasoningTurmeric powder- 1/2 tspSalt- As neededRed chilli powder- 1 tspDalpowder/Paruppu podi- 2 tspCoconut-1/2 cup.Directions:1. Cut Capsicum into small pieces.Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds. When it splutters, add 1.5 tsp uraddal, 1.5 tsp channadal, 2 red chillies. Fry until the dals turn golden brown.2. Then add curry leaves and capsicum. Saute the vegetable with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Cook until it is soft.3. Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 2 Tsp Dalpowder/Paruppu podi and 2 tbsp shredded coconut(Optional).
