Belly-Button Ricotta Gnocchi - Lunch with Gianni | Gianni North Beach

Belly-Button Ricotta Gnocchi with a quick San Marzano tomato garlic-basil sauce is light as a cloud and packed with flavor. Plus, they have belly-buttons. How fun is that?

Don't get me wrong. I love potato gnocchi, but I was hungry and wanted something I could whip together in less than an hour. I decided to make ricotta gnocchi because they're much faster to make and absolutely wonderful to eat. You'll be eating this pasta recipe in 30 minutes start to table and your tummy will thank me.

I ate my belly button gnocchi with a quick, garlic-basil San Marzano tomato sauce, but they're also good with gorgonzola cream sauce, pizzaiolo sauce, Trappanese pesto, sage brown butter. See below for links to recipes for those.
