Aaron's China Guide E07 - 水煮肉片 - Sichuan boiled pork | Aaron Sawich

This week Aaron's China Guide has a change of location. I am in Qijiang for work, so I decided to get some shui zhu rou pian 水煮肉片 or Sichuan boiled pork for lunch. More Sichuan food, it's boiled meat slices in water. The pork has a spicy and numbing (ma la 麻辣) taste to it. Shui 水 means water, zhu 煮 means boiled, rou 肉 means meat and pian 片 means pieces. As usual, we show you how to order Chinese food using Mandarin yourself.
