Little is known of Golden Shoe Hokkien Mee stall that has been established since 1980. As you might have guessed it, the stall used to reside at the former Golden Shoe Hawker Centre before settling at Lau Pa Sat.With his 40 years of experience, whipping up a plate of signature Hokkien Mee is a breeze for Mr Ng, the founder. He stir-fried noodle with a flavourful broth simmered with pork bones, prawn heads, sotong and pork belly. Add a wallop of the special sambal chilli and freshly fried pork lard, the noodle is a truly a comforting and worthwhile dish. Other choices are also available such as the oyster omelette, fried kway teow and fried carrot cake.
