Tomato Kroovy

Tomato Kroovy is a very simple but a delicious side dish. You can prepare this in less than 10 minutes.
This goes well with Idly/ Dosa/ Upma and all tiffin varieties.


Ingredients:
Oil- 2 teaspoons
Mustard seeds- 1 teaspoon
Onion-1
Garlic cloves-4
Green chillies-4
Coriander seeds- 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
Poppy seeds- 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
Salt- 3/4 teaspoon
Tomatoes-5
Red chilly powder-1.5 teaspoon
Coriander /curry leaves for garnishing


Directions:

1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.
2. Add onion and sauté until translucent.
3. Add garlic cloves, green chillies and sauté until onion and garlic turn light brown.
4. Grind coriander seeds, cumin seeds and poppy seeds into a paste and add it.
5. Add turmeric powder, salt, tomatoes and red chilli powder.
6. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.Then add 3/4 cup water.
7. Let it boil until gravy has become thick. Garnish with coriander leaves/curry leaves.

Tomato Kroovy is ready!!
