Onions steeped in vinegar give this chicken dish a special tasteSIRKA PYAAZ MURGH AUR HARI MIRCHIngredients750 gms chicken, skinned and cut into 1 inch pieces on the bone10-12 small onions, steeped in vinegar3 tbsps oil2 medium onions8-10 cloves16 fat light green chillies1½ tbsps ginger-garlic paste½ tsp turmeric powderSalt to taste½ cup fresh tomato puree1 tsp coriander powder½ tsp cumin powder1 tsp red chilli powder½ tsp garam masala powderMethod 1. Heat oil in a large non-stick pan. Slice onions. 2. Add cloves and onions to the pan. Slit green chillies, without cutting through, and roast them on direct flame.3. Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan, mix and sauté. Add chicken, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. 4. Add fresh tomato puree and roasted green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook.5. Add small onions steeped in vinegar, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and mix. Add 1 cup water and mix. Cover and cook.6. Add garam masala powder and mix.
