SINGAPORE HAWKER FOOD China Street Fritters () Maxwell Food Centre

China Street Fritters () has been in business for more than 70 years, currently helmed by the second generation. Their specialties are their signature handmade Ngoh Hiang () and Chinese Sausage ().

The family business started at China Street in the 1950s, before moving to Maxwell Food Centre.

Due to health concerns, the family has decided to sell their business for a million dollars, to someone with a passion for food.

Did you know?
Ngoh Hiang in Hokkien, also known as in Chinese, translates directly to Five Spices, a mixture of spices used in Chinese cooking. In this case, it refers to fried fritter meat rolls, containing the Five Spices that give the fritters their flavour.

The second half of its name, , refers to their Chinese sausages stuffed with pork.
