This is a popular South Indian dessert recipe which is usually prepared with rice, milk and sugar.This creamy sweet dish is very easy to prepare for special occasions and festivals.Today, we will learn how to prepare Paal payasam in instant pot.
Ingredients:
Rice- 1/2 cup
Ghee- 4 tbsp
Milk- 6 cups
Cardamom- 2
Cashews- For garnishing
Raisins- For garnishing

Directions:
1. Roast 1/2 cup rice with little ghee for 2-3 minutes.Grind this into a coarse consistency.
2. Pour 2 tbsp ghee on the bottom of instant pot.Add rice, milk and cardamom. Stir it well.
3. Close the lid and put the instant pot on porridge mode.keep the knob on sealing position.
4.It will take 20 minutes to cook. After 20 minutes, let the vapor release normally.Do not put it on the quick vent mode.
5. Open the lid after the vapor has evaporated completely.
6.Now put it on sauté mode. Add 3 cups sugar and the condensed milk.Mix it well and let it boil on sauté mode for 30 minutes. Do not put the lid back on.
7.Stri it well every 5 minutes.Fry some cashews and raisins in ghee and then add it to the payasam.
Paal payasam is ready!!
