Oni Manju ( Demon buns ) on a plate made by my daughter

I made Oni Manju, a snack that allows you to simply enjoy the deliciousness of sweet potatoes. The ingredients are simple and no oil is used.Since the sizes of the sweet potatoes vary, I gave the sweet potatoes as 100 and the other ingredients as percentages so that they can be calculated.
Oni manju ( Demon buns )" was made from sweet potatoes and flour, which were relatively easily available during the food shortages of the war and the postwar period, and became popular as a staple food in place of rice. The name "Oni manju" is said to have come about because the cubes of sweet potatoes cut into cubes look like the horns of an ogre or a metal rod.

Ingredients
235g sweet potatoes, net
59g sugar
2g salt
35g water
103g cake flour

How to make
1.Peel the sweet potato (the net after peeling is 100%) and cut into small dice.
2.Sprinkle with sugar (25% of the sweet potato weight) and salt (1% of the sweet potato weight) and let it sit for 15 minutes.
3.Add water (15% of the sweet potato weight) and mix.
4.Add cake flour (40% of the sweet potato weight) and mix well.
5.Place (4) on a sheet of baking paper (7.5cm square).
6.Put (5) in a steamer with steam and steam for 17 minutes.
7.Done. It's so good! It tastes good even when it cools down.
