Nostalgic taste of Hwa Heng Beef Noodles dating back to 1948 Hwa Heng Beef Noodle ()

Mr Kian Kor Nam, the second generation of Hwa Heng Beef Noodles, took over his father's recipe that dated as far back as 1948. Now at age 83, Mr Kian has retired and passed on the baton to the third generation.

Originating as a street vendor, Hwa Heng Beef Noodle established its name operating at the stall at Cashin Street, near the old Odeon Theatre. The stall was also fondly remembered at the now-defunct Scotts Picnic Food Court from 1985 to 2006. At its peak, there were 18 stalls in Singapore!

Customers can choose noodles in dry or soup versions, and select choice ingredients like beef balls, sliced meat, or a mix with tendon, stomach and sirloin. Coated in dark gravy, the fragrant taste of the noodles with a light herbal flavour simply wins hearts of many!

Also try out the stall's homemade and tantalising chilli sauce and chincalok that can elevate the tastes and before long, you'll find yourself slurping up the bowl.
