Go ahead give it a try.METHIWALI ARHAR KI DALIngredients1 cup split pigeon peas (arhar dal/toor dal), soaked for 2-3 hours and drained ½ medium bunch fresh fenugreek leaves (methi), finely choppedSalt to taste¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon jaggery ½ teaspoon red chilli powder1 tablespoon ghee 1 tablespoon chopped garlic ¼ teaspoon asafoetida Method1. Pressure cook split pigeon peas alongwith salt and turmeric powder in 3 cups water till 3-4 whistles are released. Open the lid when the excess pressure is completely released.2. Add jaggery, chilli powder and ½ cup water to the cooked pigeon peas mixture. Place it back on heat and cook till the mixture boils. Whisk to lightly mash.3. Heat ghee in a non-stick. Add garlic and sauté till golden brown. Add asafoetida and sauté. Add fenugreek leaves and sauté for 1 minute. 4. Adjust salt, mix and cook for 1 minute.
