Masala Tea/Chai | Gayathiri's Cookbook

Masala Tea:

Masala tea is a very popular anytime beverage in the Indian subcontinent made with a blend of spices such as cardamom, ginger, clove, and cinnamon.

Ingredients
Milk- 2 cups
Water-1/4 cup
Tea powder- 2.5 teaspoon
Grated ginger- 1/2 teaspoon
Cardamom powder- 1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder- 1/2 teaspoon
Cloves powder- 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar- 2 teaspoon

Directions:
1. Take 2 cups milk and 1/4 cup water in a vessel.
2. Add tea powder,Grated ginger,Cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, cloves powder and sugar.
3. Let it boil 5-7 minutes on medium flame until it turns dark.
4. Filter masala tea into a cup

Serve masala tea warm or cold.
