Keerai paruppu kadaisal/Spinachdal is a simple yellow dal made with mild spices, toordal and spinach. You can serve it as a soup or as a side dish for rice/roti.Ingredients:Spinach- 3 cupsOil- 2 tbspMustard seeds- 1/2 tspJeera- 1 tspGreen chillies- 2Garlic cloves- 3Onion-1Red chilli powder- 1 tspToordal- 3/4 cupHing- A pinchRecipe:1. Pressure cook 3/4 cup toordal or moongdal for upto 4 whistles with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Keep it aside.2.Heat 2 tbsp oil or ghee.Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds,1 tsp jeera, 2 green chillies and 3 garlic cloves. Saute for a minute.3. Add and saute onion until translucent.Add 1 tsp red chilli powder and saute for a minute.4.Add the cooked toordal.
