Started making kuehs in 1991, the pastry shop is known for its colourful, wide-ranging Ang Ku Kueh. Besides that, the shop also offers other homemade snacks like Soon Kueh, Ku Chai Kueh and Nyonya delicacies. In this video, we share how Ms Jade Koh whips up 7 traditional, all-time favourite snacks - Kueh Salat, Kueh Lapis, Kueh Kosui, Ondeh Ondeh, Soon Kueh, Ku Chai Kueh and Yam Cake. Kueh Salat is a beautiful two-layered snack. A thick custard layer infused with pandan is laid on top of a glutinous rice base, which is lightly dyed purple with extracts of blue pea flower. Dubbed 'nine-layered snack', Kueh Lapis offered here is 'taller' as it consists of 12 layers. It has a springy texture, and kids will have fun eating by peeling it layer by layer.Grab these delicacies for a delectable coffee break! Watch the video for a glimpse into the kueh making process!
