Easy Tawa Tomato Chutney | Gayathiri's Cookbook

This tawa chutney is super delicious and super easy to make. You can prepare this within 10 minutes.This goes well with all indian tiffin varieties.

Ingredients:

Tomatoes- 1.5 lbs
Oil- 2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt- As needed
Hing- A pinch
Sambar powder- 1 Tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 Tsp
Madras curry powder- 1 Tsp
Curry leaves- As needed
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Uraddal- 1 tsp
Channadal- 1 tsp

Directions:
1.Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds.When the mustard seeds starts to crackle, add 1 tsp uraddal and 1 tsp channadal.
2.Saute until dal turn golden brown.Then add curry leaves and tomatoes. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes
3. Then add turmeric powder, salt and hing and cook until the tomatoes are soft.
4.Then add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp madras curry powder and 1 tsp sambar powder.
5. Add 1/4 cup water and cook until the raw smell of the masala powders goes away or until the gravy has become thick.

Tawa chutney is ready!!
