Dhaniya (Cilantro) Chicken | Chicken Hariyali | Green Chicken | By KTT | Kashmiri Tadka Twist

Dhaniya Chicken (Coriander or Cilantro Chicken Gravy ) or Chicken Hariyali or Hare Masale ka Chicken (Green Chicken Curry) is a welcome departure from the regular chicken curry cooked in our day to day cooking. Dhaniya Chicken is milder in taste as compared to the regular red chicken curry as it doesn't need much spices to add to it making it a favorite among kids. The coriander and green chili flavors are infused in the green curry giving it a unique aroma and taste which is a

Ingredients:

For Gravy Base:

1. Fresh Coriander - 1 Bunch
2. Green Chilies - 3 (Seeds removed)
3. Shallots - 10-15 (Or Onions - 1 -2 Big) - Sliced fnely
4. Tomato - 1 - Cut into 4 pieces
5. Yogurt - 1/4 cup

For the Curry:

6. Onion - 1 small - finely chopped
7. Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
3. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
4. Fennel Powder - 1 tbsp
5. Ginger Powder - 1 tsp
6. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tbsp
7. Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 1/4 tsp
8. Salt - 1 tsp or as per taste
9. Yogurt - 1/2 Cup
10. Oil
11. Chicken - 1 full (cut into curry pieces)

Method:

1. Fry shallots until golden brown in 2-3 tbsp oil and keep aside for cooling
2. Grind Coriander, chilies, fried shallots, tomatoes and yogurt (1/4 cup) in a food processor or a mixer until a

fine paste (gravy base) is formed. Keep aside.
3. Fry chicken in 4-5 tbsp of oil until golden brown and keep aside
4. Heat oil (4-5 tbsp) in a deep pan and add ginger garlic paste
5. After a min add salt, turmeric pdr, fennel pdr, ginger pdr and garam masala pdr and saute for a min
6. Add red chili pdr and yogurt and on high heat fry until oil separates
7. Now add the coriander gravy base paste and bring to a boil.
8. Add chicken and mix well
9. Bring to a boil and then cover and cook on low to medium heat until chicken is tender
10. Take off the lid and cook for a min
11. Dhaniya Chicken - Chicken Haryali is ready.

Serve with Naan or rice.
