Chocolate Coconut Laddoo | Gayathiri's Cookbook

Ladoos are one of the most popular Indian sweets made during festive seasons or during special occasions.This chocolate ladoos are made with coconut, cocoa powder, Khoya and sugar.Its a very easy and simple recipe that you can make within 15 minutes.

Ingredients:
Shredded coconut- 1.5 cups
Unsweetened khoya- 1 cup
Sugar- 1/4 cup
Cocoa powder- 2 tsp
Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
ghee- 2 tsp

Directions:
1. Roast 1.5 cups shredded coconut in 1 tsp ghee for about 2-3 minutes.
2.When the moisture is gone, Switch off the heat and keep it aside.
3.Heat 1 tsp ghee. Then add 1 cup of shredded khoya/Mawa.Saute for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Add sugar and cocoa powder. Saute for another 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Skip adding cocoa powder if you want to do plain coconut ladoo.
4.Add the roasted coconut and the cardamom. Saute until everything blends together.
5. Let the mixture cools down a little bit. When its still slightly hot or warm, prepare ladoos.
