Brussels Sprouts Curry/Kalakose Curry | Gayathiri's Cookbook

Low in calories and rich in protein, Brussels sprouts contain many nutritional advantages.This is a delicious south indian style curry which is mainly served with rice.

Ingredients:
Brussels sprouts- 2 lbs
Oil- 2 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Uraddal- 1.5 tsp
Channadal- 1.5 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Salt- As needed
Hing- A pinch
Gramflour- 2 tsp
Rice flour- 2 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1/2 to 1 tsp

Directions:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When it starts to crackle, Add uraddal and channadal.
2. When dal turns golden brown, add Brussels sprouts, turmeric powder and salt.Close the lid and cook till it becomes soft.
3.Once the vegetables are cooked, add gram flour, rice flour and red chilli powder. Roast until the masala powders or cooked or until the raw smell of the powders goes away.
Switch off the heat. Serve it with rice or roti.
