Xiang Jiang Soya Sauce Chicken, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed stall, specialises in Hong Kong-style soy sauce chicken, and handmade shrimp Wanton and dumpling. Came from Hong Kong since the 1970s, the stallholder Mr Fung used to work as a chef at the Raffles Hotel. During the SARS outbreak, he ventured and set up his own stall. Tinted in glistening brown, the chickens on display have never failed to catch the customers' discerning eye and make their stomach growl. Sliced in big chunks, the meat is succulent, and the skin is gelatin-like. It goes so well with silky Hor Fun and noodle specially imported from Hong Kong. Freshly made daily, the dumplings and Wanton are exceptionally plump as each one is generously loaded with a shrimp and minced pork. Look no further. Here's a perfect spot for an authentic taste of Hong Kong food at affordable price!
