What is your favorite mom's food? ________________________________________On the table was nothing super fancy but so warm and full of love.It's a throwback when I had a chance to fly back to Thailand 2 and a half years ago.Every single day and single meal, mom cooked new things and they were all my favorites.Mom knows me best, sometimes even better than myself.In the video, there were fried pork, salted duck eggs, Tom Yum Goong and Gang Som (spicy and sour soup) which is the southern style. Some areas in Thailand call Southern Gang Som 'Gang Leung'.Because 'Som' means 'Orange/Sour' and 'Leung' means 'Yellow'In the south, we add more turmeric in Gang Som and our Gang Som tastes a little different than the other parts of Thailand.It's more spicy, more herbs in the paste. You can add any vegetable and protein in this dish and it is soooo good to eat with salted duck eggs and Thai omelette.
