My Weekend Trip to a 1000 Year Old City: Gyeongju, South Korea

Gyeongju is a city not far from Seoul, South Korea. It can be reached in about two hours via the KTX. However, it's a unique place that visitors should definitely check out. In this travel vlog, I set off to explore this ancient city and see why it's called 'the museum without walls.'

First I check out Daereungwon Tomb Complex. This is one of the most famous places in the city of Gyeongju as it's known for multiple tombs and burial mounds containing the final resting place of many Shilla Dynasty royalty. Be sure to check out Cheonmachong and step into an actual burial tomb that was once home to a king.

Then it's time to check out a Korean traditional market to try some unique foods including some famous Korean fried chicken, and a unique Korean style buffet for only 7000 KRW!

Then it's time to check out Bulguksa - a Buddhist temple that is home to some ancient stone pagodas and is one of the most visited places in the city.

I finally end by checking out the famous pink muhly grass and try some dak gochi - skewered chicken.
