It is not far from the centre of Phang Nga town. Phang Nga town is about 1 hour north of Krabi and similarly about 1 hour north from Phuket. It's a great place for a interesting day out! It's not really on the tourist map, but you can get tours to there from Phang Nga, Phuket or Krabi. It is definitely worth spending a few hours to have a look when you travel Thailand and there's plenty of other things to see around Phang Nga including forests, caves with prehistoric paintings, islands, kayaking, James Bond Island, great food and restaurants, and some amazing temples.
