Turkish Palace Kebab "Saray Kebab"

"Saray Kebab", Palace Kebab is a type of kebab in Turkish cuisine, widely served in restaurants in Turkey. It has a base with meat, green peas, and carrots with a tomato sauce. Topped with a big dollop of rich potato puree.
It is perfect for a dinner party or a hearty family dinner.
Ingredients For "Saray Kebab" Palace Kebab:
500gr. cubed beef
3-4 tbsp olive oil
2 medium-size onion
2 medium-size carrots
1 can green peas (about 500gr. drained) or 500gr. fresh
1 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tbsp sweet or hot red pepper paste (optional)
about 1 cup hot water
1 tsp each salt, red pepper flakes or ground red pepper, oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper
For The Potato Puree:
3 somewhat big potatoes
about 2 cups hot water
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
1 egg (lightly whisked)
close to 1/2 cup milk (add for a soft pure consistency)
salt and black pepper to taste
about 3/4 to 1 cup kashar or mozzarella cheese (to garnish the top)
