The Best of Becoming a Good Food Parent

When it comes to our kids, we all want the best for them. We want them to be physically healthy and emotionally well-adjusted, and we want them to feel good about themselves.

The decisions we make concerning our childrens diets can have a lifelong impact on their health. It is essential to be a good food parent, but what does that entail? It means providing them with healthy foods and ensuring they get the nutrients they need to grow and develop properly. It also means helping them grow up emotionally well, with a positive self-image.

Good food parenting sets children up for a lifetime of healthy eating habits. But it can be challenging to know which foods are best for our growing children. In this first episode of my summer series called The Best of Summer, I will discuss some updates in the scientific research on food parenting and previous episodes to help you become an even better food parent.

What Youll Learn About The Best of Becoming a Good Food Parent:
- The different roles played by fathers and mothers in food parenting
- Responsive food parenting for positive child outcomes
- The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on children's food intake
- Positive practices associated with food fussiness
- Using coercive controlling practices in interacting with our kids around food
- Previous episodes that go deeper into food parenting
