Thandai Recipe | ठंढाई | Holi Special | How to make Thandhai Powder | Atima's Kitchen

Thandai is original Indian Soft Drink, which is being served from many many decades, to keep the heat at bay. Holi is the first indication of arrival of summers, so Thandai is served on this day, but you can serve it whole summer and keep the body heat in-check.

½ cup Almond
¼ cup Pistachio
¼ cup Cashew
¼ cup Poppy Seeds
¼ cup Melon Seeds
¼ cup Fennel Seeds (Thin)
8-10 Black Pepper Corns
5-6 Green Cardamom
1 tbsp. Rose Petals
2 pinch Nutmeg Powder
Adjust Sugar according to your taste.

Grind Fennel, Poppy Seeds, Black pepper, Nutmeg, Rose petals and Green Cardamom into fine powder adding little Sugar.
Grind Dry Fruits and Melon Seeds also with Sugar by pulsating. Do not grind longer, as they leave their natural oils.
Mix everything together. Add Sugar as per you taste. Keep in the fridge in an airtight jar.
Serving…….

Mix 1 tbsp. or more powder in half cup warm milk and keep aside for 10-15 minutes. Then add chilled Milk and few ice cubes and serve.
