Kanom krok is a popular Thai dessert and street food in Thailand. Youll find it being cooked fresh in all parts of Thailand, at markets, in shops or by roadside vendors. Its a type of coconut pancake or coconut pudding. It has two layers, the first is a crispy rice flour shell which is filled with a soft sweet coconut milk topping. It is usually topped with corn kernels or chopped spring onion. It is really delicious and is one of my favourite Thai desserts. This video was filmed in Hat Yai in the south of Thailand.

And in case youre worried, eating street food is perfectly safe. Its what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. Ive been eating it for 3 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food youll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.
