Apple Baked Alaska
Servings: 2

INGREDIENTS
2 apples
10 grams unsalted butter
2 teaspoons honey
Ground cinnamon, to taste
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon sugar
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Caramel sauce, for serving

PREPARATION
Cut the tops off the apples and use a spoon to hollow out the centers, making sure to remove all of the seeds. Place the apples in a microwave-safe dish.
Divide the butter and honey between the divots in the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Microwave at 600W for 6-7 minutes, until tender. Let cool.
In a medium bowl, beat the egg white with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form. Add half of the sugar and continue to beat on high speed until stiff peaks form. Add the rest of the sugar and beat until the whites are shiny and fluffy. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag.
Scoop the ice cream into the holes of the apples and pipe the meringue on top. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Using a kitchen torch, melt the powdered sugar until golden brown.
Drizzle with caramel sauce, then serve.
