Tandoori-Style Cauliflower Tandoori Gobi तंदूरी फूलगोभी नुस्खा
Glen & Julie are testing out Tandoori-Style recipes ( तंदूरी फूलगोभी नुस्खा) in the Ooni Pro wood fried pizza oven... A spicy baked cauliflower seemed like the perfect recipe.
Ingredients:
1 head of cauliflower
Juice of 2 lemons
120g ( 125 mL / ½ cup) full-fat plain yogourt
7 - 10 mL (1½–2 tsp) Kashmri chili
10 mL (2 tsp) turmeric
5 mL (1 tsp) garam masala
5 mL (1 tsp) chaat masala
5 mL (1 tsp) ground cumin
5 mL (1 tsp) coarse salt
30 mL (2 Tbsp) mustard oil (or any veg oil)
15g (roughly the size of your thumb) ginger, grated


Method:

In a bowl mix together the ingredients for the marinade: yogourt, turmeric, chaat masala, garam masala, cumin, salt, Kashmri chili, mustard oil, ginger.
Stir that up to fully combine.
Cut the cauliflower into florets.
Put the cauliflower in the bowl with the marinade; toss to coat, cover and place in the fridge for 4-5 hours.
Preheat you BBQ Grill, oven, tandoor, or pizza oven to high heat.
Place the cauliflower in a cast iron pan, and into the oven / bbq.
Turn it often and move it around to prevent burning.
You want it to be slightly charred around the edges and cooked through.
Or - place the cauliflower on a baking sheet under the broiler in your oven, and cook until charred on both sides and cooked through.
