This delicious creamy phirni is made using fresh custard apple.SITAPHAL PHIRNIIngredients½ cup custard apple (sitaphal) pulp + for topping1 litre milk5-7 tablespoons rice, soaked for 5-6 hours½ cup sugar1 teaspoon green cardamom powder5-7 almonds, soaked, skinned and sliced¼ cup chopped mixed almonds and pistachiosMethod1. Drain the rice and grind into a smooth paste with water as required. 2. Heat milk in a non-stick pan and bring to boil. Add rice paste, mix and cook for 5-7 minutes or till thick.3. Add sugar, mix and cook till mixture reduces. Add custard apple pulp, cardamom powder and almond slices, mix and cook for 5 minutes.4. Put some phirni in a serving bowl, top with some custard apple pulp and mixed nuts. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.5. Serve chilled.
