Sarsaparilla Syrup Recipe Test First Try #FailIngredients:500 mL (2 cups) water425 mL (1¾ cups) sugar115g (4 ounces) dried sarsaparilla root30g (1 ounce) dried birch rootPinch of salt5g (1 tsp) citric acidMethod:In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring the water and sarsaparilla root, birch root to a low simmer. Remove the pan from the heat and let it steep for 30 - 45 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer, discard the roots.
