Prawns are marinated and cooked in a flavourful gravy. Definitely a treat to prawn lovers!PRAWNS TEMPERADOIngredients25-30 medium prawns, cleaned, deveined and washed½ lemonSalt to taste¼ tsp turmeric powder1 medium tomato1 medium onion2-3 tbps oil2-3 green chillies, finely chopped1 inch ginger, finely chopped2 tbsps finely chopped garlic1 tsp red chilli powder½ tsp garam masala powder1 tsp vinegar2-3 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnishLemon wedge for garnish Method1. Squeeze the juice of lemon in a bowl. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes. 2. Finely chop tomato and onion.3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add green chillies, ginger and garlic and sauté for a minute.4. Add chopped onion, mix and sauté for a minute. Add salt, mix and cook till the onion turns golden brown. 5. Add tomato, mix and cook till it turns soft and pulpy. 6. Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder and vinegar and mix well. 7. Add prawns and sauté on high heat for 3-4 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium, add ¼ cup water, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. 8. Add coriander leaves, mix and switch the heat off.9.
