Easy to make and delicious to taste, these tikkis are the perfect snack!POHA ALOO MATAR TIKKI Ingredients½ cup thick pressed rice (poha), soaked for 10-15 minutes3 medium potatoes (aloo), boiled and peeled ½ cup frozen green peas + for garnishing8-10 cashewnuts, crushed 1 teaspoon chaat masala 1 teaspoon red chilli powder¼ teaspoon turmeric powder2-3 green chillies, chopped ½ teaspoon cumin seeds1 tablespoon lemon juiceSalt to taste1 tablespoon cornflour Oil for deep-frying and greasing Tomato ketchup for servingMethod1. Mash the potatoes and ½ cup green peas in a parat. Add crushed cashewnuts, chaat masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder, green chillies, cumin seeds, lemon juice, salt and pressed rice and mix. Add cornflour and mix well. 2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.3. Grease your palms with some oil, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis. 4. Deep-fry the tikkis in hot oil till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 5. Garnish with green peas and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
