Phirni has a thick creamy texture dessert. Phirni recipe prepares with the basic ingredient milk. Punjabi Phirni recipe enjoyed on a special festival like Hoil or Diwali. Phirni traditionally served in clay containers. In Phirni recipe or rice pudding recipe Milk thickened with rice flour and flavored with cardamom and almonds. This creamy dessert is very easy to make and liked by all. Phirni is prepared from ground rice and kheer is made from whole rice.

Phirni Ingredients:
Rice - 5 Tbsp soaked in
water for 30 mins.
Milk - 1 litre - full cream
Almonds - 10 finely
chopped without skin
Sugar - 2 Tbsp
Saffron - little saffron
strings dissolve in little water
Cardamon powder - 1 tsp


How to cook phirni:
Drain excess water of the rice and transfer to mixer-grinder.
Grind into coarsely paste.
Take a pan add milk to it.
Boil the milk.
When the milk comes to boil and ground rice to it.
Cook on low flame for 10 mins till the Phirni gets thicker.
and creamer.
Stir continuously and add sugar in it.
Add dissolved saffron to it.
Add cardamon powder and mix well.
Close the flame and cool at room temperature.
Transfer into mud bowls.
Garnish with saffron strands and chopped almonds and Serve chilled.
