Ingredients
Toor Dal: 1/2 a Cup
Green Gram Dal: 1/4 Cup
Tomatoes: 3 chopped
Green Chilies: 3 slit
Tamarind: 2 Reeds
Fenugreek Seeds: 1/2 a Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds: 1/4 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 a Teaspoon
Water: 2 Glasses
Chili Powder: as needed
Salt: to taste
Oil: 2 1/2 Tablespoons
Mustard Seeds: 1/2 a Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds: 1/2 a Teaspoon
Red Chilies: 2 to 3 No's
Curry Leaves: 2 Reeds
Coriander Leaves: a few strands for garnishing
Method of Preparation:

Delicious and Delightful Tomato Dal.
Take a cooker, add 1/2 a Cup of Toor Dal, and add 2 Tbsp or 1/4 Cup of Green Gram Dal as it enhances the taste and texture of the Dal cooked more quickly.
Wash them twice and add 3 chopped Tomatoes, 3 Green Chilies, and 2 Reeds of Tamarind, add 1/4 Tsp of Fenugreek Seeds and 1/2 a Tsp of Cumin Seeds.
Add 1/2 a Tsp of Turmeric Powder, and 2 Glasses of Water, add 1 1/2 Tsp of Oil and cook until 3 to 4 whistles, let it release the pressure, and open the lid.
We can see the Dal has cooked well, add Chili Powder and Salt to taste and mix.
Heat a pan with 1 1/2 Tbsp of Oil, add 1/2 a Tsp of Mustard and Cumin Seeds each, add 2 Red Chilies, and let splutter.
Add 8 Garlic Cloves crushed, add 2 Reeds of Curry Leaves, and add the cooked dal to the temper.
Add water as needed depending on the required consistency of the Dal.
Add some Coriander Leaves for garnishing and put off the flame.
Relish it with Mango Pickle and hot steaming rice, yummy and super tasty Tomato Pappu.
