Pan-Fried Tomato Slices (锅塌西红柿) | The Chinese Cuisine

These pan-fried tomato slices are easy to cook and delicious!

INGREDIENTS:
- 50g flour
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 egg
- 1 stalk green onion
- ginger slices
- 1/2 tsp. salt (~2.5 grams)
- 30 ml oil (1/8 cup)
- 5 ml cooking wine
- several drops sesame oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. whisk your egg with a bit of salt
2. peel your tomatoes by dropping them in boiling water then peeling off the skin
3. slice your tomatoes
4. pour a little salt on the tomato slices
5. then coat the tomato slices evenly in egg and flour
6. add oil to a pan on medium-high heat
7. place the tomato slices in the pan
8. flip and cook until the slices turn golden brown
9. add in ginger slices and green onions and saute them briefly in the oil
10. add in about 1/4 cup of water, and when the water begins boiling, lower the heat
11. wait until the water evaporates, then add in a little bit of sesame oil for taste
12. serve and enjoy!
