Paneer Dahi Vada Recipe - Paneer ke Dahi Bhalle | Nisha Madhulika

Paneer dahi bhalla is a quick and sumptuous variation to the dal bhallas. These instant dahi paneer vadas are perfect snack for vrat.

Ingredients

Paneer - 200 grams
Boiled Potatoes - 2
Ararot - 2 tbsp
Oil - for frying
Green chilly - 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece (grated)
Salt - 1/2 tsp or as per taste
Curd - 3 to 4 cup
Green chutney - 1 cup
Sweet chutney - 1 cup
Red chilly powder - 1 to 2 cup
Roasted cumin powder- 2 to 3 tbsp
Black salt - 2 tbsp

Directions

Getting ready:

1. Start with grating the paneer in a bowl. Then peel and manually grate the boiled potatoes as well.

Making:

2. Take paneer, potatoes, ararot, salt, ginger and some green chilies in a big bowl and mix everything really well. Prepare small size vadas from the mixture.

3. Deep fry the vadas in hot oil until they become golden brown and crisp from all the sides. Afterward, drain them out on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Serving:

4. Take 3 to 4 vadas on a serving plate and top them up with some whisked curd, black salt, cumin powder and red chilly powder, sweet chutney and green chutney and serve this super yummy paneer dahi vada immediately and relish eating.

Suggestions

Oil should be hot enough for frying the vadas otherwise it will absorb too much of oil and may break apart.

If vadas break while frying then add more ararot in the mixture. Instead on ararot you can use corn flour, refined flour or bread crumbs as a binding agent.

If you are making dahi vadas for vrat then add sendha salt and black pepper powder. You can also add 1 to 2 tsp of sugar in the curd mixture.
