Molasses Popcorn Balls Recipe - These candied popcorn balls were a favourite around our house as Halloween treats when I was young. If you've ever wondered how to make molasses candy popcorn balls, then this candy popcorn ball recipe is for you.

Ingredients:
⅔ cup corn syrup
1/3 cup light molasses
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vinegar
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups popped corn*

Method:
In a saucepan mix syrup, molasses, salt, and vinegar and cook to the hard ball stage 258ºF.
Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
Place the corn in a lightly greased bowl and slowly pour on the hot syrup.
Mix quickly with forks; cool slightly; grease hands and shape mixture into balls by dropping a spoonful of the mixture into the hands and shape it lightly.
Makes about 3 dozen.
*Roughly 2 Tbsp un-popped kernels
