Mardi gras idea: simple way of making delicious beignet

If you like doughnuts but find them to hard then you really need to give this a go. Just easy and delicious just a beignet. Originally made those to celebrate Halloween but you can use those lovely, puffy, airy and delicious doughnuts balls for Mardi gras as well. Written recipe here: https://goo.gl/Yt2e7D



Ingredients used in this recipe:

For the Choux pastry:

50cl (half liter) / 2.113 cups of Full cream Milk

A few zest of grated lemon (optional)
Flavoring of your choice which - avoid food colorings (optional)

For the deep frying:
in this recipe I used 2 litres / 4.2 US pints of canola oil
but you can use peanut oil or grapeseed oil

Coating and fillings:
Granulated sugar or icing sugar.
Jams, salted caramel in jar, chestnut cream or anything you can come up with.
