I guess that's a thing - Even if you don't eat this cake for breakfast, it's a solid maple cake recipe.Sift together1 ½ cups sifted pastry flour½ cup whole wheat flour4 teaspoons baking powder1 teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon cinnamon1/8 teaspoon nutmegCombine1 egg, beaten⅔ cup maple syrup⅔ cup milk1 ½ teaspoons melted butterAdd to dry ingredients. Turn into a greased 9-inch pan and sprinkle top with cinnamon and maple sugar.
