Malaysian Street Food - $100 KING LOBSTER + Eating Sago Worms in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo!!

Welcome to MALAYSIA in 2022!! This time I'm on BORNEO in East Malaysia's Sabah state capital : Kota Kinabalu! We're kicking things off at the Donggongon Weekly Market home to Kadazan traditional cuisine such as "butod" or sago worms. Not for the faint of heart, these grubs can be enjoyed cooked or raw like me.

After our morning at the market a proper lunch was in order. Sabah's iconic Ngiu Chap or beef noodle was on the menu for today at Penampang Ngiu Chap.

To visit Kota Kinabalu without sampling the seafood would be a sin. This city may very well be home to the CHEAPEST seafood I've ever seen. How about 2kg fresh King Lobster, a football sized coconut clam, seaweed salad and a couple hand-fulls of scallops for $100. Have it cooked anyway you like, its guaranteed to taste good. Unless of course your coconut clam also turns into a rubber tire when cooked.
